Happy Hunting!

The roof pitch of the center was just too low...looked too flat.   Had to tear down and start over!
The shed roof of the porches.... it is really cool!
A picture of our water meter... water a must!  Just remember when you aren't in a subdivision that you have to pay for the meter to be dug and stubbed.   A little pricey so include in your budget.

The rear of the house with a GREAT LOOKING Roof!   Hello to the Looneybirds in Bham that are reading my blog!

Decking the front of the house!   The gables with be  windows, looking forward to natural light.
It is that time of year...hunting season!  This means my builder/husband takes a week at a time to go to IL hunting since we do not have deer in AL.  Although I have seen quite a few deer tracks on our very property!  He left at a critical time...the roof.   I pulled up after work and it just didn't look right.  I spoke with Carlos the superintendent...."he just do what the boss say".  I  called Dale and he answered whispering in his tree stand.   I tried to explain that it just was not right and even sent him pictures so he could see...but since he is so attached to his flip phone he couldn't really get a good photo.  He ended going up to the McDonalds for free Wi-Fi that night to see.... he spoke with the framer and they tore it off and started over.   Now it looks great!  Why do these things happen when he is out of town!?!

I was excited to find me a great deal on a close out on  a farmhouse sink this week.  Trying to shop sales and closeouts on lighting and plumbing.

  1. Sounds exciting! Also, you might check Craig's list for some unique items- plumbing fixtures, lighting. Greg had a client that found her antique claw foot tub on Craig's List.

*Hey- we have a well- not in a neighborhood either- but hey- no water bill either! Except the pump runs on electricity- so generator needed for water when the power is out.

So this is the roof that came off? Or is the last pic with the dormers the "real" roof?

    Still following your progress!
